Colin Berry

Colin obtained his BSc (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonia University in 2000, and since then has enjoyed a thriving career. Since joining Optical Express he has become one of our most experienced Optometrists and is an important member of our Senior Management Team as a Clinical Services Manager. 

With over 20 years’ experience, Colin has a vast range of advanced clinical experience and exceptional knowledge within the field. Day-to-day he manages our esteemed Clinical Services Team, who are on hand to offer guidance and advice to our Optometrists and Ophthalmologists throughout the UK and Ireland, and works to ensure best clinical practices are followed at all times. Colin also identifies any development and training needs required within the company, gives advice to colleagues on best practices for complex cases and is a keen mentor to up-and-coming optometry students.

Colin regularly performs eye examinations and aftercare appointments for patients who have received refractive surgery. He also has a qualification in Independent Prescribing which will enable him to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye doctor at a hospital.

Colin works in our Surgery Support team, where he assists our Ophthalmic Surgeons by preparing patients for their laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.
