Highly experienced Optometrist Danielle obtained her BSc (Hons) in Optometry at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2006. Since then she has seen her career grow exponentially and has developed a vast amount of clinical experience which she utilises to provide patients with an outstanding level of care.
Danielle has advanced clinical knowledge and practice in diagnosing, managing and treating numerous eye diseases and conditions. She has undertaken a wide range of clinical training programmes in order to further her career and strengthen her knowledge, this includes achieving a qualification in Independent Prescribing which will enable her to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye doctor at a hospital.
Since completing her own pre-registration programme in 2007, Danielle has always taken an active role in the mentorship of up and coming optometry students. As part of the Optical Express Senior Clinical Team, she has trained ophthalmic colleagues from across the UK in advanced clinical practices such as laser vision correction surgery and refractive lens exchange.
Danielle is part of our lead Surgery Support team, where she assists our Ophthalmic Surgeons by preparing patients for their laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.
Her clinical knowledge and practice involves diagnosing, managing and providing treatment plans for a range of eye conditions and diseases, as well as performing YAG capsulotomy procedures.
