Rabiah Shakeel

Rabiah graduated from Bradford University in 2016 with a First Class Honours. Following her graduation, she commenced her career with Optical Express as a pre- registration Optometrist and stayed on to become a resident Optometrist in our Manchester clinic.

Her primary role involved conducting sight tests and contact lens examinations. Rabiah's professional growth led her to expand her skills and progress into an Optometrist in the refractive surgery pathway whereby she assessed patients during their initial consultation as well as assessing them post surgery. This invaluable experience enhanced her proficiency within the realm of refractive surgery.

Rabiah has since obtained her Independent Prescribing qualification, granting her the capability to manage various eye conditions at a community level without the necessity of referring patients to an eye doctor at the hospital. She also helps with training new Optometrists for pre and post surgery consultations in which she finds great fulfilment.  She enjoys making a positive difference to people's lives by offering vision correction solutions whether that be eye surgery, glasses or contact lenses.

No two days are ever the same for Rabiah. One day she may conduct initial consultations  for individuals seeking vision correcting treatments, while on other occasions she can examine patients who have already had treatment with us during their post operative appointments. This diversity in her role ensures that Rabiah remains well informed about the latest treatments, processes, and procedures in the field.
