About Luca Antico
Mr Antico is an expert ophthalmic surgeon who has extensive experience in performing LASIK and LASEK laser eye surgery procedures. He is considered by his peers to be a specialist in this field.
After graduating from the internationally-acclaimed school of medicine in Rome (UCSC), Dr Antico then underwent specialist training in ophthalmology. He then took up an Honorary Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery at UCSC, after which he held a post graduate position in the Services of Cataract Surgery and Oculoplastic Surgery department of the Pando Ferrer de la Habana hospital in Havana, Cuba. This was followed by another fellowship at the world-leading corrective eye surgery centre, the Instituto Ophthalmologic in Alicante, Spain.
Laser eye surgery is the most popular elective surgery in the world, with an exceptional success record. A highly proficient leading surgeon, Mr Antico is listed on the Specialist Register in Ophthalmology of the General Medical Council and has helped thousands of patients to achieve 20/20 vision or better during his career at Optical Express. He has co-authored over 20 articles.
