Mr Mohammad Ghassan Ayoubi

After obtaining his medical degree in 1984, Mr Ayoubi started his ophthalmology training at Aleppo University before continuing his studies in the UK.

He completed his training at numerous hospitals across the UK including the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, East Glamorgan General Hospital, St Woolos Hospital in South Wales, Ipswich Hospital, and the Royal Chesterfield Hospital. He then went on to achieve a Masters degree in Ophthalmology with distinction from Bristol Eye Hospital, Bristol Eye Bank and Bristol University

Mr Ayoubi has since gained over 35 years’ experience within the industry and has completed over 43,000 refractive procedures. He takes pride in being one of the first ophthalmologists to obtain the Certificate of Laser Refractive Surgeries from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Ayoubi has gained a specialist interest in both refractive laser surgery and paediatric ophthalmology and has been involved in numerous research project and publications. He is also a keen educator and has spent time training and supervising many optometrists and refractive surgeons across the UK.
