The availability of advanced eycare on the south coast of England has been expanded thanks to two new laser eye clinics opened by Optical Express.
In Hampshire, a new clinic has been opened in the heart of Portsmouth. Located in Stanhope House on Commercial Street, it offers laser eye surgery and lens replacement consultations in addition to a wide selection of the latest designer glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses.
Further down the coast in Devon, a new clinic has also been opened in Plymouth, offering a full range of advanced eyecare products and services to local people. It is situated at Princess Court on Princess Street.
The clinics are the latest in a series of new sites opened by Optical Express as part of its strategic growth plan. Since the start of this year Optical Express has opened new consultation and treatment clinics in 56 locations, with a further 20 locations scheduled to open in the remainder of 2013.
The new sites will help meet demand created by Optical Express’ unique 20/20 vision campaign – which offers patients a full refund if they do not achieve 20|20 vision or better following their procedure using the latest generation of laser eye surgery technology, iDesign.
Dr Steve Schallhorn, chief medical director and chairman of the Optical Express International Medical Advisory Board, said the money-back offer underlined the confidence the company has in its technology and the abilities of its staff.
“Laser eye surgery has been performed for more than 20 years in the UK and the procedures and technology have come a long way in that time.” He explained.
“From audited clinical outcomes we have seen over 99% of our patients achieved 20/20 or better vision following laser eye surgery, and that has given us the confidence to be able to now offer prospective patients their money back if for any reason we cannot achieve that standard for them.”
