Mark decided to have laser eye surgery because he wanted an alternative vision correction solution to his glasses.

Due to the nature of his job role and having a young child who enjoyed pulling them off his face, often stretching the legs and breaking them, he found glasses to be a major inconvenience in his day to day life.
