Uveitis is a condition that causes the middle layer of your eye (your uvea) to swell up and become inflamed. This can blur your vision, as well as making your eye feel very sore and sensitive to light.
Treatment for the condition depends on what part of the eye is affected.
Uveitis happens when the eye gets inflamed. It is thought to occur because of a problem with the immune system, but the exact cause isn't known.
